Here's the result of a cool experiment I did for Biology. Using just water, salt, dish soap, a coffee filter, and meat tenderizer, I extracted the DNA from an onion! I had a great time doing it, here's a picture of all the DNA from 1/4 of an onion. 
I just love Biology...
oog... but next module is my first dissection... wish me luck!
P.S. For any homeschoolers looking for a good Biology curriculum, I would definately suggest Apologia! If I homeschool next year I'll be using their Marine Biology course.
