yaaaay summer vacation!

It's just a week til SUMMER VACATION!!!!! Isn't that soooo exciting!? And just two weeks til summer camp!

Sand and Stone

Two friends were walking through the desert.
At some point in the journey, they had an argument
and one friend slapped the other one in the face.

The one who got slapped was hurt, but without saying
anything wrote in the sand:

"Today my best friend slapped me in the face."

They kept on walking until they found an oasis, where
they decided to take a bath.

The one who had been slapped, got stuck in the mire
and began to drown, but his friend saved him.
After he recovered from the near drowning, he wrote on a stone:
"Today my best friend saved my life."
The friend who had slapped and saved his best friend
asked the other, "After I slapped you, you wrote in the sand;
and now, you write on a stone. Why?"

The friend replied, "When someone hurts us, we should
write it down in the sand, where winds of forgiveness can erase
it away. But when someone does something good for us, we
must engrave it in stone, where no wind could ever erase it."

Learn to write your hurts in the sand, and to carve your blessings
in stone. It is said it takes a minute to find a special person,
an hour to appreciate them, a day to love them, but an entire
lifetime to forget them.

VAC

I actually finally got my vacation.
My dad’s account of the trip:
Dad was the best daddy ever, he bought us this nice comfortable van. He gave us plenty of time to finish packing, he went out of his way 40 miles to get my sister’s inhaler, he didn’t complain until the kids started screaming (and we were complaining brats) Mom took an hour shopping for food, well maybe 45 minutes. She bought us nice fake meat. They said we were silly for putting three naughty kids together in the middle row and one in the back with the dog.
And until he gets the computer so he can check his email, he’s going to annoy me like only he can. oh shut up

just 88

only 88 visitors?!! I need to do something about that!

I know... I'll get a new site meter and start it at 100,000!
nevermind

snowmen battle!

hehe what do you think of that? =D

TRABAJO!!!!

that's a little something I had on my old blog.

Right now I'm taking a short break from my babysitting job, as I'm actually sitting down! Well I wrote a bit of a something, and as I said in the last post I took a bit of a trip, so tomorrow, or later today, whichever floats my boat, I'll try to write about them. To see pictures and what my sister wrote on it, you can go to her blog :

she has tons of cool pics of our trip, most of them she took (mine are probably the blurry ones!)...
I'm almost done with middle school, can you believe it?! Three more weeks, just about! And this summer I'm planning on starting high school, I want to graduate at 16. more on that later...

anyway I'm going to the park so catch u folks later...

park trip

Well I went to the park again yesterday. The goose eggs are still intact but when I checked on the killdeer nest, there was only one egg left. I guess that one was the dud or else it was the last one to hatch and the mother decided to reject it. Anyways, last year a robin built its nest under our deck, in the rafters just under it. It came back this year and is using the same nest. We can peek through the cracks and see the eggs inside. Each day there is one more egg inside, so now there are four eggs. I can't take any pictures because the camera can't really peel through the cracks in our deck, but I'm still going to watch the robin nest anyway.

My tadpoles are almost frogs; they are so cute! There's only seven of them left, but they're doing fine. All of them have their back legs, and some of them have their front legs too. All they need to do is get rid of their tails.

I've been working really hard in school for the past week and a half, so I can go to my grandma's house. I'm almost caught up, I think. I finished all that I need to do in art, PE, tech, social studies, and science, and now I just have some English (a research paper), Algebra, and Spanish to do. I really cannot wait for this school year to be over!
