Vacation

I was hoping I could go on a vacation in May, to my grandma's house. It won't exactly be a vacation, since I'll have my family all coming along with me, but it'll still be a bit of a break off school, etc. I hope we can stay for at least a week, maybe two. I've been working real hard on my school to make it a possibility. My goal is to get 21 days ahead, right now I'm at 10. I just have to keep going and maintain what I already have.

Pues, manana es Sabado, y yo soy confudado. Yo nesecito a sabo cosas muchos, pero no cosa es trabajante como yo quiero. yo necesito ayuda fecha aglo o alguien hacer mi como yo fue cuando yo gustaste viva.

Feliz Sabado!

Today was an awesome Sabbath! I went to church, and when I got there (almost late!), I found out that I was supposed to be a greeter! Oh well whatever.

On the way home, we saw smoke coming from a mountain! It was a big fire in the woods on the mountain. Then we drove by and as we did, a plane flew over the fire, and dumped a lot of water on it! It was the first time I've ever seen something like that; it was really cool! My dad said they started the fire on purpose, so they could burn away the brush and prevent accidental fires in the summertime. And also so that some person could try out the plane that dumped the water to make sure it was still working fine.

After we got home, I listened to all my favorite Chirstian radio dramas and talked on the phone until my dad got home. At about 4:00 or 5:00 we left for this park that is close to us, the Ountalaunee Park. It's a big piece of wooded and ponded (is that a word?) and swamped land. When we first went to it, it was a new park and pretty crumby. They were still building these buildings (look at the pictures). The college students are fixing it up and building a lot of cool stuff. They rebuilt some cabin and fort that used to be there. The fort was called Fort Everett. The cabin and the fort were locked, both the doors and the gate to the fort, so I just peered through the windows of the cabin. It looked really nice inside, I wouldn't mind living there, lol! The bed looked really comfy, not; it was made of ropes! The fort, well, I looked through the cracks, but my brother crawled under the fence! I could have fit, but I didn't want to get in trouble, but most of all, I didn't want to get my jeans dirty!

So, after we were done looking at the buildings, I ran over to look at the ponds. They have three little ponds, which would be nice if they could get some more of the cattails and algea out and build a newer bridge. I was stading on the bridge looking for frogs and fish. I saw some frogs, and a few minnow-like fish, but I didn't see any of the koi they had in there last year (they must have died). Anyways then my dad gets on this rickety bridge made of boards, and starts to jump on it. He's like, this bridge isn't very sturdy! Someone could fall in! And then I said that if he didn't stop trying to break the bridge, that someone would be me and him. He explained that he was trying to break the bridge, because if we broke the bridge, then noone else would be able to go on it themselves, and fall in. But I think I'd rather have someone else be as silly as us and go on that bridge, and jump on it and break it and fall in themselves. That pond water suddenly looked really icky. So I got off on the other end (they weren't very big ponds, in fact, the were rather samll round ponds, about10 x 10).
Then I heard something. It was the familiar sound of a killdeer bird, when they are trying to ward you away and around from your nest, by feigning a broken wing. This bird had just stood up, and had her feathers ruffled. Killdeer hide their nests cleverly on the ground, like in this picture. so I looked, and right under her was her nest! It had four speckled eggs in it! That was just the first thing I found.
Next There was a goose nest! It has six eggs in it! I am looking forward to watching the goslings, when they hatch, grow up!
Last of all we played frisbee for a while in the soccer field there. My dad threw a frisbee to my little sister Lanaya, and she actually caught it! I was surprised... I think if she tried she'd bee pretty good at frisbee.
Well, this is mandy, signing off!

new vehicle

Our family purchased a new vehicle! Our old van died, and now I'm glad of it, because our new van is a whole lot better. It's a white Toyota Sienna, with 8 seats, and a spacious enough trunk so I can pack as many clothes as I want when we finally have our vacation (that is, if we ever do). My dad already had a white toyota avalon car, so now we have two white toyotas, lol!

school

I don't know where I'm going to school next year. Either public school or Blue Mountain Academy. I'd much rather attend BMA but that hope seems pretty dim right now.
Why is each little bit of life so complicated? Right now I'm getting straight A's in cyber school but it seems like there's more to learning than just typing things on a computer. I want to try reality, instead of a virtual school life.

Peeps

I now have 14 tadpoles! They are so cute; I think they will turn into Spring Peepers.

April 5

Today has been pretty uneventful... I haven't got into any mischief yet, I'm satisfyingly ahead with my schoolwork, etc, etc. Last night, or evening, should I say, we went to Pathfinders. We didn't actually go for Pathfinders, but we ended up going there anyway since we were early for choir practice (I don't even know why I went, since I know the songs well enough). But I ended up having a better time during the Pathfinder part anyways. I love to sing, but not particularly the songs that our choir does. We did marching the whole time almost, and I was wearing flipflops... my feet were frrrreeezzing! It was very cold, and it still is! In fact, it's snowing! And when I went out to get the mail, there was a bitter cold wind! We ended up getting almost as bad weather as Erie.

My rabbit

I didn't mention this before, but I have a famous rabbit! He got on the front cover of this pet catalog. My sister took the photo, and I submitted it, so we got $40.
Here's some more pictures of him...

oh yeah, isn't he cute? He's a mini lop; we want to breed him cuz some of our friends want one just like him... :D

Vans

Our van is dying... it has too many problems, cuz it's like as old as I am (yikes, is that bad?).
We had to cancel our trip to Erie (I had my Spring Break this week) because of it.
Soooooo my dad is getting us a new van as soon as he comes home, he's in OK. I think we're getting a Nissan or Toyota. I'd rather have a Nissan; in my opinion, Toyotas are too small and don't have enough doors.

Good Questions...

...I got these in an email... I removed some of the inappropriate parts.

Can you cry under water?

How important does a person have to be before they are considered assassinated instead of just murdered?

Why do you have to "put your two cents in".. but it's only a "penny for your thoughts"? Where's that extra penny going to?

Why does a round pizza come in a square box?

What disease did cured ham actually have?

How is it that we put man on the moon before we figured out it would be a good idea to put wheels on luggage?

Why is it that people say they "slept like a baby" when babies wake up like every two hours?

If a deaf person has to go to court, is it still called a hearing?

Why are you IN a movie, but you're ON TV?

Why do people pay to go up tall buildings and then put money in binoculars to look at things on the ground?

Why do toasters always have a setting that burns the toast to a horrible crisp, which no decent human being would eat?

If Jimmy cracks corn and no one cares, why is there a stupid song about him?

Can a hearse carrying a corpse drive in the carpool lane?

If the professor on Gilligan's Island can make a radio out of a coconut, why can't he fix a hole in a boat?

Why does Goofy stand erect while Pluto remains on all fours? They're both dogs!

If Wile E. Coyote had enough money to buy all that ACME stuff, why didn't he just buy dinner?

If corn oil is made from corn, and vegetable oil is made from vegetables, what is baby oil made from?

If electricity comes from electrons, does morality come from morons?

Do the Alphabet song and Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star have the same tune?

Why did you just try singing the two songs above?

Did you ever notice that when you blow in a dog's face, he gets mad at you, but when you take him for a car ride, he sticks his head out the window?
